wimbearn's DVD Collection! Part 1.

Image
I have a lot of DVDs in my room. They are in two drawers since I don't have a shelf or bookshelf to put them in. It's been a while since I watched something on DVD. The last time I watched something on my Blu-Ray player was last year. But enough talking, let's get on to the collection! Pokémon:  All seasons except for the rest of Diamond and Pearl, B&W, XY and the rest of Sun and Moon + the first 3 movies Of course I have Pokémon in my collection! I have watched all of the seasons back in 2020 since I was on a Pokémon binge and I started with Sun and Moon when that aired on Disney XD. The rest of the seasons that I don’t have on DVD I watched online. I’m pretty sure VIZ has been releasing more seasons which I might add to my collection once I get more money. As for the first three movies, I am sticking with them and probably won’t add more Pokémon movies to my collection. I did remember seeing a 4 or 2 pack movie collection that had Pokémon Heroes and Jirachi in it and ...

My thoughts on memes and hype for something in fandoms.

When I was on break from Friday-Monday, away from social media, I wanted to find some videos for my bored self to watch. And then, I stumbled across this video. "Are Memes Ruining Media" was the title of the video and I wanted to click on it. In the video the man shows the Breaking Bad meme. I have seen that meme and sometimes I never got it, sometimes I did, and also I don't watch the show. But then when he showed the context of the meme, I was like... wow. He even showed other shows such as "The Boys" with the context of the meme scene.  After watching that video, I was really surprised. To see the context of that one Breaking Bad meme surprised me. I don't know why people would take a heartbreaking/sad/tense scene and take it out of context and for people to spread it on the internet.  Which is why I am making this post. To explain my thoughts on memes, plus hype in the fandoms that I'm in but don't want to really get into much. When I first had ...

Donations and art commissions are appreciated!

Hello! I was planning on putting out a normal, long post looking at something but I am tired right now. Maybe later today or sometime.  This will just be a promo post. If you enjoy reading from this blog or just like my art on my socials, donations or art commissions are appreciated, as it helps me out a lot. I might use the money on either something good, for college, or if I have enough, to help get my works protected by copyright. As a small artist and a yet to be voice actress, it has been hard and has been affecting me mentally which is why I left back in June/July to focus on my own series (since it is private I will not say the name). ko-fi.com/wimbearn Commission info: Sketch - $5 + $1 for color optional Example of a possible sketch with color.  Sketch may be messy, but it will look good with some effort and some color :) Lined - $20 + $1 for color optional No example drawing here, but for lined, it will just be line art - something like a children's coloring book. The Toonmakers Sailor Moon Pilot: So Bad It's Good!

Image
I am a little late to the party here, but I remember hearing about this a while back on a website called Moon Sisters before Ray Mona's videos documenting this. When I saw the screenshots and animation cells, I was like, "Is this real?". It actually is real. The art style looks a lot like Jem and the Holograms (or may remind some of that show). And then, Ray Mona's videos came around. If you aren't familiar with Ray Mona, she is a YouTuber who finds lost media such as a Clueless DS game and spoiler alert: she had found the pilot and intro to Saban Moon (as some fans call it)/Toonmaker's Sailor Moon, on August 20th (6 days before my birthday). Before the intro was finally found, it was filmed poorly on a camera at a convention (I think). But not gonna lie, the theme is actually really catchy even though lyrics get repetitive at times. It has been an earworm in my head since first hearing it when the pilot/intro was finally found. I really wish someone made a c...
