SaGia merch concept I made based on Jikiru!

Image
Although this is currently non-existent since my indie comic SaGia isn’t that big yet, I had thought of this concept for days and sketched out my concept on 5/12, which is based on one of my characters, Jikiru.  I was going to work on more merch concepts based on my other characters (Rena, Haido, Lain, Lass, etc.), but wasn’t feeling the motivation this week. I tried so hard to sketch out concepts of action figures, plushies, a reversible plushie of Jikiru/Haido, but again, motivation was so low, I didn’t feel like doing it. I picked Jikiru for this concept because writing her personality in the comic was fun for me that it made me warm up to her. Since I loved her so much, I thought of this idea: an interactive plush based on her. And so, I had sketch out the concept in Procreate and was satisfied with the results. Apologizes for my handwriting in the above sketch concept. I had the idea of having Jikiru’s eyeballs move as well as blink + having her mouth animate. Her head bobs fr...

I 100% completed a game from my childhood...

Image
Note: post was typed on 4/22, but scheduled to post on 4/30. The game from my childhood in question is Enchanted on the Nintendo DS, released in 2007 to tie-in with the movie of the same name; my favorite Disney movie of all time. I got this at some store on the shelf and the part I hate about the game is playing as Prince Edward riding on his horse. I remember getting frustrated with those segments that I had my mom do it for me. The game follows the whole movie, but there are random slime or mushroom enemies that will attack Giselle for some reason. I remember beating the final boss, Queen Narissa's dragon form at night before waking up in the morning for high school without dying to her. Man, the memories. And I saw the entire credits too and quickly saved my game. I remember my heart beating fast during the fight, and I was scared that my mom or dad would come in and take my DS from me. The game's sword segments gets harder, especially post-game. And post-game. Hoo boy. Whe...

The Terrible World of MGA Entertainment Dragon Ball Z LCD Handheld Games! (Review)

Image
Here we go again, more DBZ merch released by MGA Entertainment.  No, you aren't high or having a dream, these are real games (happy 4/20). Disclaimer: I don't smoke, okay?   Previously (on Dragon Ball Z), I reviewed the obscure Battleship knockoff known as Battle Strategy Game - Frieza Saga Edition  and a pinball game (Summon the Dragon Pinball) which re-uses sounds from a Windows pinball game called Space Cadet. In this post, I'll be looking at some of the Dragon Ball Z LCD games released by this company that I own. This will be the last part of the "MGA Entertainment Saga", as I don't really care about some of the other DBZ merch that they released. I love LCD handhelds. My first exposure to them was when I was at my granny's house and my cousin had these collection of SEGA LCD toys. You know, "SHADOW BASKETBALL". That one.  Confused? Well, it’s a meme from this terrible ad: I definitely remember the Rouge and Amy Tennis game .  Someone out the...
