Working on a fun project.

So, I am working on a short 80s commercial thing to promote my indie comic, SaGia. Here's a still frame from it as a teaser:

Looking at 80s Japanese advertisements gave me the inspiration to work on this project. I started animating yesterday and it took me 3 hours to complete the first animation (as seen above), and about 5-6 hours to animate my second one. I tested it out by throwing said animations in a software called ntsc-rs (the same software I used when I shared one of my animations of Jikiru and Lain back in February), and was blown away by the results.

For the music... so I'm afraid to say this, but I may have to go with the A-eye route *shudder* because I don't know how to make or compose music. I did generate a song yesterday using some random website and told it to make me an 1980s J-Pop upbeat instrumental - don't worry I didn't make an account, used Audacity to make it sound like it came out of a VHS (after learning from a YouTube tutorial) and threw it in my animation as a test and it sounded good. But, I'm still afraid of using that track for this commercial once I'm finished putting it together and share it online.

I'm scared that people will hate me for using a non-humanly made instrumental song. Before that, I tried looking into royalty-free tracks but none interested me. I might make a post on my Bluesky and Threads asking if someone out there would like to compose a J-Pop 1980s upbeat song for my project [unpaid work], but chances are, it might not get a reach or noticed, just like my other stuff. If I don't hear a response by next Wednesday or Friday, I'll just give up and will use the generated instrumental.

I do despise A-eye, but, the only time I use it is for correcting some of my grammar (I use Grammarly). My dad keeps telling me to use ChatGPT and if I don't use A-eye, I'm gonna fall behind; stay a Flinstone or be like a Jetson.

Besides that, I finished working on this drawing of Jikiru that's inspired by 80s/90s Japanese magazines and fashion that I might share in April, so keep an eye out for that.

That's all I have to say, see ya.
