This month, I submitted 10 voice auditions. I'm starting to feel confident submitting an audition for a casting call. But to be honest, getting rejected is hard. It's like... is my voice not good enough? I submitted 10 so that I can have some speaking lines. My first real voice over role (outside of Haido from my own comic SaGia in some projects I've done with her) is just... 13 seconds of laughing for some animated project. It might be overlapped with everyone else's laughing, sadly. And recently, I submitted my demo reel on Instagram for a casting call for someone's indie animated project last week. They ghosted me for 2 days and the reply I get back yesterday? "Sorry, all roles have been filled". Are you kidding me? 😔 Well, enjoy, I guess. I'm gonna do a voice over for fun later today. I need a break from auditions.

This was my entry to their poster contest and sadly… I didn’t win. I knew that the odds of me winning were low. Maybe it’s my art style that they didn’t like… I don’t know. I aimed for a manga look with some digital watercolor for their mascot. When I was at the con on Saturday, I didn’t want to look at the posters posted around the campus because it made me have negative thoughts about losing this contest. I’m entering in a better art contest next time. Will I enter again? No. And only two of my questions were answered because I really needed help since I was confused in some areas; I emailed about 5 or 4 questions. But hey, on the positive side, it gave me good practice!

This is very fitting for me to finally share this comic since May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I made this comic back in 2022 for one of my English classes at my college. I believe the assignment was to make a proposal. This comic was originally going to be in my college's literary magazine, Una Voce. I believe I submitted in 2023 and got accepted and picked up a certificate at the college and met this really nice lady who was behind the magazine. However, years has passed and I never heard any updates or seen anything recent on the college's website. I assume that the magazine had been quietly cancelled. And then, I heard even worse news on 4/22 after research and seeing a Facebook post from my college. The lady who was behind the event had passed away in January of cancer. It was very heartbreaking to hear the tragic news this late and it had me in tears (didn't help that I was feeling depressed for days). It's finally time for me to share this comic to all since...
